Information handled by this site

Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical information needed to deliver pages and files and protect the site. This can include an IP address, requested URL, request time, browser or device information, and diagnostic or security information. Hosting and security records are handled under the provider's policies and our hosting configuration.

This site does not offer visitor accounts, comments, newsletter signups, contact forms or checkout. If you email us, we receive your email address, message and anything you choose to include. We use that correspondence to respond, handle rights or privacy requests, and maintain appropriate business records. Please do not send sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your request.

We do not use this site to sell personal information or deliver targeted advertising. We have not added audience analytics or advertising trackers to the site's code.

Browser storage and display preferences

The homepage uses session storage to remember that its arrival animation has been shown during the current browser session. It uses local storage to remember your choice to pause or resume the hero video. These display preferences are stored in your browser; this site does not send their stored values to an analytics service.

The background-video controls can consider browser-reported screen size, reduced-motion and data-saving preferences, connection information, device capability and playback performance. These checks run in your browser to choose video or a still image. The silent background clip is served with the site's own assets.

You can clear site data or limit storage in your browser settings. The video control lets you pause or resume motion. The site automatically uses its still image when motion is unsuitable. Blocking storage may mean your preferences are not remembered. Hosting or security services may use technical cookies where needed; third-party players have separate practices as described below.

YouTube and other external platforms

Released films use a YouTube privacy-enhanced player. The site shows a locally hosted poster first and creates the YouTube player only after you press its play button. Loading or using that player sends requests to YouTube and related services, which can receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details and referring page. Privacy-enhanced mode does not make the player anonymous or eliminate all third-party processing.

Links to Amazon, YouTube, Instagram and DigixData take you to separately operated websites. Buying a book, signing into a platform, interacting with a film or contacting a social account is governed by that platform's terms and privacy practices. Book purchases are completed by the retailer; this site does not collect payment-card details or process the checkout.
