Using the site

By using this site, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using it. If you are not legally able to agree to these terms on your own, involve a parent, guardian or other authorized representative as appropriate.

The site presents a fictional story universe through books, films, artwork and reference material. Archive entries, episode descriptions and timeline sections may reveal story details. Interactive map locations and distances are illustrative where noted; the map is a guide to the stories rather than a real-world navigation tool.

Personal access and intellectual property

You may browse the site, use its map and archive, watch films through the provided players and follow its official purchase links for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may share links to public pages. Normal browser caching and incidental copies needed to view the site are permitted.

DigixData owns the RYSE of the 1NES intellectual property, including the books, films and series marks, subject to third-party rights and applicable licenses. Story text, illustrations, maps, logos and other materials are protected to the extent provided by law. Access to a page, video or image does not transfer ownership or grant a general reproduction, adaptation, merchandise or commercial-use license. The Copyright and Trademark pages explain permissions in more detail.

Nothing in these terms restricts fair use, other statutory exceptions, or rights you hold under an applicable license. Crediting a creator does not by itself replace a license when one is required.

Responsible use

Use the site lawfully and respect the rights of other people and creators. Do not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with security or availability, distribute malicious code, impersonate the site or its creators, or falsely suggest an official affiliation.

Except where authorized by applicable law or a relevant license, do not republish protected material, redistribute books or films, remove rights notices, sell derivative merchandise, or collect substantial portions of the site's protected content for redistribution or machine-learning training without permission. The site does not accept public uploads or grant a license to unsolicited creative submissions. Please obtain a separate written agreement before sending material you expect us to treat as confidential or compensate you for.

Retailers, players and other third parties

Book purchases are made through external retailers such as Amazon. The retailer controls checkout, price, fulfillment, refunds, account access and its own privacy practices. A purchase or stream grants only the rights provided by the applicable product and platform terms.

YouTube players and links to social platforms are operated by third parties. Their terms, availability, age requirements and privacy practices apply when you use them. Inclusion of an external link does not promise that its content, price or availability will remain unchanged. We do not operate those platforms.

Availability and limitations

We may update or correct the site and its reference material, or change availability of features or previews. A coming-soon label, episode overview or other preview is not a promise of a particular release date or a purchase offer.

The site is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, we do not give warranties that every page or third-party service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or, where applicable law allows exclusion, indirect or consequential losses from website use.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, DigixData's aggregate liability arising from use of this website is limited to US $100. This limit does not restrict liability that cannot lawfully be limited, your mandatory consumer rights, or rights under a separate applicable agreement.

Applicable law and changes

These website terms are governed by Texas law, subject to applicable federal law and mandatory protections that apply where you live. Where the law permits the choice, disputes relating to these terms may be brought in the state or federal courts serving Collin County, Texas. Nothing here removes a non-waivable right to another forum.

We may revise these terms and update the date above. Changes apply going forward, subject to applicable notice requirements. If part of the terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent the law permits.
