The Orchard Lesson

A small success in the orchard gives Kofi a different way to approach his gift. Listening offers a possibility that force cannot.

Kofi hopes to learn from Adisa, the master smith in Umoka. Before that journey can begin, the orchard tests the distance between a moment of understanding and the steadiness he needs around the people he loves.
