The Watcher Elinam names his birth parents: "Your father was Kojo Anene, the ward-smith who cut the first seal lines under the southern terraces. Your mother was Lela, one of the keepers who carried the blood-memory records through the crossing when the first chamber failed."

Part 2, ch. 14. Only Elinam says this; no one confirms it.
